‘Leviathan & the Muses’ (2026)
Together with our Editorial Board, we are pleased to highlight a publishing project closely associated with our journal: the forthcoming multi-author monograph Leviathan and the Muses: Discourses of Power in Polish and Russian Cultures, which will be published by IKRiBL Press in the second half of 2026.
The volume will bring together selected contributions arising from two international academic conferences: Polish & Russian Cinemas (25–26 October 2024) and the 5th Conference Literature & Power in Poland and in Russia (11–12 April 2025). ❧ F.Ś.

Extended Thematic Scope (2026)
We are pleased to inform you that the thematic scope planned for 2026 has been expanded. We intend to publish a special issue devoted to the history of Ukrainian literary studies, as well as to Ukrainian cultural and philosophical thought in its epistemological aspects and dimensions. The issue will also include a special section in the field of Ivan Franko Studies, marking the 170th anniversary of the birth of the distinguished Ukrainian intellectual Ivan Franko (1856–1916). ❧ F.Ś.

‘Literature & Power’ VI
From 21 to 23 May 2026, the Faculty of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw hosted the sixth international academic conference Literature & Power in Poland and in Russia, an annual highlight for Slavists working in this field.
Our journal was pleased to serve as an academic patron of the event and to present its latest issue, as well as the new directions it has taken following its rebranding.

Call for Papers: Reminder
We would like to remind prospective contributors that the deadline for submitting articles for the 25th volume of the Annual is 31 August 2026. The forthcoming issue will be thematically oriented towards postcolonial studies and biographism. While we particularly welcome contributions engaging with these areas—either separately or in dialogue—submissions addressing the journal’s broader thematic scope are also encouraged.
